Now i done changed my midpipe million of times, but i've always used the mac paper gasket. I brought acouple ford gaskets but always had bad luck with them.

Right now my current mac paper is bust so i need to replace it. Im using a ford gasket, but im unsure which way it goes in.

The part with the black o ring'd lip around it.. does it go into the header or into the midpipe?

i suggest putting the lip into the header. it will aid in "holding it in place" if you dont have a free hand. It will also help prevent clearance problems if your rear part of the mid pipes are already connected.

I'm using a ford gasket right now and i'm 110% satisfied.

ive honestly never used a gasket ahhaha
You must have a huge nasty leak rofl. The passenger side header to midpipe needs a gasket.

Just put that same gasket on my car. I put the lip towards the exhaust manifold. Not sure if it makes a difference as it compresses the gasket and both the mainifold and the midpipe have an indention for the gasket. So far, not exhaust leaks, so I guess I got it right or was lucky.
