speedcal is the best way, you can use a gear, but it will get chewed up over time.

I still have trouble with my speed cal being completely accurate, but I recommend them! Also on mine it only works when the dip switches are set like this: 1s are down and 0s are up.

They should work like this: 1s arre up and 0s are down

tuners only work on 99-04 gts cuz the 96-98 are geared speedos...so just look on ebay thats where i got mine at..and you can get a speedcal but they are expensive..just buy the speedo gear on ebay first..

I have and i have gotten emails taht say this and only this:

1 is up and 0 is down

They also suggested in other emails a setting that didnt even work at all.

I went for 2.73s to 4.10s, and i got the speed cal because of the gear wearing out issue and because the guy who owned my car before me did white faced gauges the speed ometer was off by 5 mph fast. I wanted to correct that! And now My speedometer is no where near accurate. 30=30 when doing 40 it reads 40 when doing 45 it reads 40 when doing 60 it reads 53 and when doing 65 it reads 54. I have explained this to them and they just give me some number that doesnt work. I will try again i guess.

White faced gauge guy probably put the needle on wrong, take it off and stick it 5mph lower. The needle shoudl actually sit on the stop with some tension.
