So I am putting some MAC LT's on the mustang. Looking at putting some stage 8 ford racing locking header bolts. But I see they have 1" and 3/4" long. The bolts in my stock manifold are 1", but the bolts MAC sent are 3/4".

So which is it 1.000 or 0.750........

whats the thickness on the stock flange vs the macs?

Already thought of this, but the headers are at my parents house, since that is where I am working on my car at. Will be there this coming weekend, but it would be good to get them ordered....

1" are more expensive and provide a better grip. Mac isn't going to send out the more expensive bolt if the 3/4" will work.

3/4" came in handy since they are easier to get in around a large primary for me.

I used the cheap bolt sets from autozone with a Allen head. Bought the 1" and 3/4". Used a couple lock washers and called it a day. Cheap. Works great.

I'll never buy fancy bolts. The only thing I'll pay $ for are studs.
