QUICK question

hey guys quick question on what would cause this?... i started my car earlier today and its idle raised up to 1600rpms and the CEL started blinking. the CEL usually doesnt stay on long enough for me to go to autozone to get it checked. tell me what you guys think!! plz : (

The CEL need not be on to check for stored codes. Just make certain they test at the correct data link connector. It's NOT the connector under the dash . They want the OBDI connector in the engine bay on the passenger side strut tower.
