I've got a box of 12 rechargeable cans of (Igloo brand) R12 freon NIB. How much is it worth? Is it illegal to sell for private use?

Its worth a decent amount to people who want it, however it makes no since you can get an adapter kit from Napa and just use R134.

your car being a 95 I believe it is a 134 system. My understanding from school was the pag oil in 134 system will be destroyed when it comes in contact with r12. Im not 100% but I would just suck it down and recharge with 134. Wait a few years and 134 will be gone and repalced with HFO-1234yf which is a Dupont product I think. Its already being used in Europe. And from what I hear its heavier then air and ALSO flammable.

BTW why are you recharging the system? if its low or blowing warm, then it will need a repair prior to proper operation.

R-12 is worth its weight in gold. It will pay off big time to hold on to it and sell it to a shop or persons in need of it. It's not interchangeable. I have not seen it in years except for in the recycled or reclaimed condition.
