Well i think mine is messed up. I did the CEL test and only the low speed cam on. I then turned on the a/c(whole system is removed) and the high speed still didnt come on. About a month ago the car started runing warmer than it use to but since i dont drive it much and it stayed below 220 i didnt worry about it. Does this sound like the motor to you? the low speed still comes on.

Pull the connector off the motor and see if it's burnt inside. These motors pull quite a bit of current and sometimes the connector can't handle it and melts some, then it doesn't make good connections. If your still not sure make yourself a jumper and go straight battery to fan to test. The connector is only 3 wires: gnd, low, hi. Don't try to run hi and low at the same time when testing or it will burn up for sure.

Mine works on both hi and low, although not all the time. My connector is in good shape, nothing is melted, and i just replaced the ccrm a couple months ago. What it does is what it wants if that makes sense. It runs like a beast on high when i manually switch it or turn on the a/c then after a few minutes or running it slows gradually all the way down to where it's barely moving air. Then i smack it with a ratchet on the motor housing and it revs back up to full speed. low speed does the same. I'm contemplating upgrading to the mishimoto dual fan setup with the aluminum shroud to upgrade the fan. I'm replacing the radiator so i've got it all apart. anybody ever use one of those setups?

That's what I was thinking if i didn't swap fans themselves.. what's the cfm that the stock fan can move?

If the plug is burnt I'd try that first... that plug is only like 15 bucks. Free if you can find a good one at the junkyard.
After that dont waste money on the other stuff until you try to swap CCRM.

My cobra was doing the same thing so I decided to experiment and try to eventually nail down the solution so I can pass the word along. I didnt care about just throwing parts at it because I planned to replace a lot of things on the car anyway because it sat for years before I bought it and lots of things needed attention.
First I flushed the radiator... no difference. Car still would run the guage up. Then it really started to run hot but only at low speeds. So that means radiator. Got me a nice new OEM type radiator in there. While it stopped it from really getting hot it wasnt as cool as my stroker GT which was what I wanted. So I figured I'd check the plug...sure enough it was scorched on the middle plug. So I chopped one off at the junkyard and spliced it in. No change... still running around 205-210 on my PMS screen. Not dangerously high, even with the non-cooled blower on the car, but I want it lower because it will run that high night and day. Couple months ago, I replaced the fan motor, still no real difference. I'm down to a couple final solutions. Either the cooling system has a small pressure leak someplace or the CCRM is bad. A friend of mine who owns Speed Concepts (mustang parts website some of you might have heard of) has me set up to get a CCRM from one of his sources and I'll try that and see how it does and let you guys know. But I'm really expecting it to make the biggest difference.
