So since I ve bought the car (1997 aztec gold mustang gt) I've had no problems with it..but for some reason when I turn on my radio or cd player (stock factory) a buzzing sound u can hear. Everytime I acelerate or speed up, the buzzin noise gets louder, its really annoying, but my music is always up loiud, so u cant hear it of course, only when the volumne is all hte way down, you can hear it clearly, on eof my friends that is a smog tech, says it could be the alternator going bad?? I dont know but its really annoying...anythoughts on waht could be worng? maybe wiring?

Is it tuned to your local rap station? That's how I get weird sounds out of mine :2funny: I think they have answered your question though.

All you have to do is go to your local car stereo shop and tell them your problem. They will most likely wire in some rf cancelors or something like that. They're really cheap and they get rid of that annoying sound.

sounds like a fuel pump interference. happens to me sometimes, hit the gas, and i get a buzzing sound out of the radio, CD or FM/AM station. not much you can do, just take it to a radio shop and have them try to figure something out

Its a grounding issue. Factory radio..replace it anyway. I can almost guarantee its a bad ground though. Or an amplifier (if you have the mach460/mach1000) amps going bad..or internal amplifier in the actual head unit.

it's probably ur alternator... happens in my friends probe too, just happened out of the blue, it's because of some kind of filter in the alternator went bad.

I really dont mind the 460. Sure i could focus on better beats, but what i got seems to do the trick to me. I like listening to my motor more anyway.

i just dont like how aftermarket CD decks/Radios have TINY Buttons.... when i am driving i like to be able to to control my radio without searching for a little button

You mean the dimmer on it? All aftermarket radios have dimming capabilities, you just hook up the illumination wire

All I have to say is: Radio Delete. All the cool ones do it. Just replace your unit with various gauges.
