Rag Joint/ Steering coupler disc? Help!

Need to do a rag joint on my 96 GT, Haynes book says nothing about it, just complete steering shaft removal, there should be a how to or somethin on here about that..but since theres not, can anyone help a brutha out?

oh, yea... what about it? its like the little plastic bearing taht wraps around the plastic cylinder on the shaft? you need a new one? id ask a few people in the classified section and i would check out www.rockauto.com

Buy a solid steering shaft with needle bearing U joints in it instead of the stocker. it makes a huge difference.or, you can put a piece of steel in the current one, but buying one is easier.

I dont need the part, i got a new one. i just need to know how the hell to install it. the haynes book doesnt tell how to.

Oh, sorry. I took the two mount bolts off the steering rack, took the 15mm bolt out of the steering shaft, I think there is two holding it onto the column and the rack itself, and pulled the rack down and out, while an assistant (hot chicks are the best, lol!) collapses the shaft and pulls the shaft out. PM with questions.
