Realistically how hard is it to pull a 4.6 and replace it? I've pulled a few Saturn engines but I'm sure thats nothing compared to a mod motor.

it's easy it's really not hard at all, here is a link on a good write up it's what i used when i pulled my engine out..

it just require a good haynes manual some patience and a few extra hands isn't a bad idea (i lure them in with mountain dew)

you'll notice it says 99-blah blah as the write up but it's pretty much exactly the same as the 98 motor, hope this helps

Very very easy. Saturns are hardder. I did it by myself with a cherry picker and jackstands. Disconect exhaust tranny mount engine mounts driveshaft wiring harness and pull it thats all there is to it. You'll be surprised.

+1 on that

when i did my motor pull i took green 2'' wide tape and a black permanent marker and put 1 and one the end it goes to 1, simple stuff like the intake and all i just know where that all goes... but you can knock it out in a weekend and have it really to be pulled.. the best way is to drop it out the bottom but a cherry picker and going out the top is easier.

not front wheel drive. a few bolts off the bell housing and youre good to go ;-) lol.

those bolts are easier if you drop the motor mounts first too.

When you say right tools, what do you mean?

Every metric and standard socket ever made... Half of the goddamn nuts/bolts on these cars are metric, the other half are standard.

LOL! Yeah, I'll bet you're "slow and stupid"... (I'm sure you're anything but...)

I was showing my supercharger to my niece's husband and I was explaining how I did it by myself with no help and "no real knowledge of what I was doing"... He looked at me and said, "I think a little more knowledge than most"...

I love working on our cars!
