dose the 99-04 rear end is a direct bolt on for a 96 v6?
i found a 00 cobra rear end that will be graet for my turbo project so i wanted to know if will fit.
after i replace the rear end the driveshft that i need will be the same as the gt\cobra correct?

It will be a direct swap but it's a tiny bit wider, less than an inch on each side if I recall

The 99-04 cobra irs rear ends are not direct bolt ins. Some fab work is required.

You have to drill some holes.. Make some brake lines.. A few more things but it's pretty simple..

ill take it, it comes with the rotors and callipers.
what driveshaft i will need to fit it with the 4r70w tranny?
the gt tranny from 94-04 is the same moddel but diffrent program will be needed as far as i know...correct?
i will uploud some pics of me turbo v6 project soon and ill open a new thread with the questions ill probobly have on the way with pics and all.

i checked again and its not 00.
i have 3 options to chuse from:
1. 96 gt
2. 99-04 gt
3. 04 cobra

thay all come with 3.27 and traction lock, accept the 96 that comes with 2.73 and non traction lock i think.

04 should have 3.55... That's a IRS.. Not direct bolt on.. But that is what I would take.. Ez to convert.

Your drive shaft now would work.. Just need a conversion U joint... Bend some brake lines.. Drill 4 holes.. That's it if it's complete...

he proabably mis-typed.... either way... could be an export cobra or an R.. . ..

did the R come with IRS or SRA??
