haha funny. i am not doubting the guy one bit. everyone has there own opinions. if he says he shaved one full second then he did. theres no way to physically prove it. and theres no sense in saying it cant be done. theres so many variables to shaving time

I would seriously doubt the guy. He sounds like the type that goes around telling people that his H/C/I fox goes 9's. Its not opinion either, its fact. I dont care if you have a 900hp car, you WILL NOT gain a second in the quarter mile by JUST adjusting the pinion angle. You would be LUCKY to gain a TENTH of a second on your 60' times. And there are ways of proving it, if gaining a second in the quarter was that simple, everyone would know to do that over throwing heads, cams, etc. etc. on their shit.

i am not one to argue or sit there and bicker about what someone says theyve done to there car. theres no point in arguing about it. like i said its what he said he did and i thought i would try it. if i couldnt acheive it then no harm no foul. i am not doubting anyone and i have never set pinion angle before thats why i asked how to do it. so lets end this and say its unacheivable to shave more than a tenth of second overall and stop repeating everything.

He didn't drop a second off his time, hes lying. And neither will you. If dropping that much time was that easy people would just buy upper control arms and adjust the pinion angle all for under $250 VS spending $3,000 on a supercharger.

Like you said there are many variables in racing and different mods will result in different out comes for different people. But with that said anyone that knows anything about drag racing will not say that a second or more or close to it can be dropped just by the pinion angle. The guys an idiot. It is not physically possible to drop that much time w/ no other changes to the car. Its not a matter of opinion or results may very type of thing. Its just not going to happen....ever

I would forget anything else he may have told you about drag racing considering he is this stupid. Did he even produce a slip, what are his mods, are you even sure he has ever been to a track?
