I have read some posts in the past and seen pics of the rear spoiler being removed and getting great results on the trunk. My question is, I know that there is a rubber grommet or polyurathane gasket or something like that between the spoiler and the trunklid. If I remove the spoiler -which hasn't been removed since the car was built in late '94- what are the chances that it has disintegrated or needs to be replaced, and if so, is there a replacement available?

Basically, if I remove spoiler, will I be able to put it back on without much of a problem?

I take my spoiler off all the time to wax under the wing and polish the deck lid..... I also remove every wing i can when paint correcting a car.

CW Cobra- no, not usually out that far, although occasionally I am on Rt 9 near there on the way down the shore.

Handz - I probably got the idea from one of your posts - you do an AWESOME job...wish I was close enough to have you do it for me... I just wanted to make sure that I wouldn't have a problem putting it back on, but if you say it's no prob- I'm good with that!

DropTop - I'm hoping to avoid that kind of trouble. BTW- that Broc Obama is some funny sh_t.

Thanks GreenGT and all you dudes. :icon_salut:

Yea I take off the spoiler when doing a full correction also...

It's especially easy on SN95's because its just 4 bolts and VIOLA!!!
