Rear Wheel Spacer Question

Hey guys i was wonder what size spacers will bring my tires flush with the rear fender. I was looking on americanmuscle.com and it seems 1inch and 1.5 inch bring them out even. However, on the 1.5inch some cars have the wheels way past the fender which i dont want.
Right now i have 17 inch 275-45-17 on the rear 17x9 wheels
So will the 1 inch spacer be safe at filling the fender with say 275's or 315s?

Rather then us guessing use masking tape to hold a piece of string with a bolt on the end (to weight it down) where you want your tire to sit, measure from your tire to the string, there is your exact size

Or, just stick a ruler against your sidewall and see how far you need to come out to reach the fender.

Twista, if youre scared 1" isnt enough and 1.5" is too much, just get 1.25" lol.

Thats what i'm running. I have 275's on the rear as well and theyre on 17x9 wheels.

in same boat as ferocious... 275s(for about another month) on 17x9s with a 1.25 spacer.... fits how his picture looks.. every now and then 1 side sits out further than the other.. but thats normal

I have 1.25s with my 17x9 Cobras with 275/40s that I used to use for my stock 17x8 split spokes that were perfect for that size. IMO, it sticks out about .25" too much as my inner fender has cut the ouside of the tire slightly on steeper driveway turn-ins. Still looks better than not having them, but think 1.0" would be perfect Now having said that, I've read several places in which the 1.0"ers required the wheel studs to be cut down a little so that the rim sits flush against the wheel adapter/spacer, but it might depend on the rim.
