Ok got the engine all put back together basically today. Trick flow heads, tfs1 cam, trick flow pushrods, cobra lower (ported by tmoss) and those nice looking blue scorpion RR.. I like them they look great but the fact that i got one of the retaining nuts in a 1/2 instead of 3/8 kinda makes me frustrated but anyways new one should be here say tues of next week at the latest.. Next thing to do is tackle the rest of the trans on monday and start putting her under its own power by next friday.

High idle literally less then one min after i started it.. 1100 rpm. Also the feedback is from 1. a cell phone 2. huge empty garage but for a semi next to it so the sound is blasting all around..

love the look of the headlights, but it seems the corners are being pushed out?

Yeah the headlights right now are not in all the way. They were being held by one nut. Had the front bumper taken off and resprayed also when they fixed the door and rear quarter. Yeah i need to work out a few issues but i hope soon to have a few new videos of it up.

idk why everyone is commenting on your $100 headlights when you have all the toys on this snake. Nice Build, I am tuned in. I love the fact that you are taking your time and doing it right, thats the plan for my GT someday, for now its just my sunday car.

I wish I had the tools/time/skills to rebuild a tranny. Seems every T-5 in existence whines.

Thank you and yeah a lot of people like the headlights i guess all the work is a dime a dozen huh ;) lol.. Yeah the T-5 was a lot easier to build then what i thought. I lost a lot of the wine from replacing the main shaft to input shaft bearing. Well on the t5 in the cobra it has the roller bearing instead of the actual bearing cluster. I speced it out before hand i was a little off, replaced the shims in the input retainer and it resolved about half of the wine i had before. After digging into it and getting that replaced i cant even hear anything.

A lot of research went into this and i still was coming up short in a few areas close to the end.. It all worked out now so im happy. Ill tell you those LT have almost no room for clearance. They are worth the sound alone though.. Just now need to wait for summer to take it out and get some miles on it.. Summit was a great help in parts i was impressed that they were the cheapest on 90% of all the parts i wanted.

Thank you all again for the kind words.

T5 tranny whine-
MILITEC1
- This is a synthetic based hydrocarbon metal conditioner. Doesn't effect viscosity, not an oil additive lubricant. It coats the metal surface. I've been using it at work for 16 years now. I use it in my car too. Definitely not a snake oil.
-Any whining mechanical part should have some Militec1 introduced and enjoy the results. I'm just wanting to offer an option that I know is an incredible preventive maintenance. I use it in my differential, transmission gear box, oil sump, ect...
*It's also equally effective wiping down and cleaning all guns, & military artillery.-
I hope someone tries it sometime and it blows their mind.

That stuff looks good but i dont think i would use it in my tranny. After rebuilding it and figuring out what is what inside. There are two blocker rings 3rd and 4th that have a carbon fiber material on them. Its to help slow the gears down so they align quicker. With something that nice in there you could have a issue with high reving shifts. I know right now i can do a 3-4 gear change at about 5200 rpm way smoother then before.. I know i changed the gear and also put the plate on there to help with countershaft stability. With those alone it changed the feel but i know i was running amsoil full synthetic in it and my 3/4 switch was sometimes a little bit of a issue.
Just saying not knocking it at all i would use it if it was shown not to make a issue with parts being too slippery.

Not trying to troll at all on stuff ive done all this and as you can see it shows, i have a huge amount of pictures if you all want them posted.
Here is a link that kinda explains the reason for the carbon material..

from .55 - 1.22 is what you want to see..

I find that it wasnt the blockers that got worn at all but the actual metal as you can see from the 3rd gear above. Looks like a lot of higher rpm jamming was involved and the blockers are what caused the damage from missalignment when shifting.
