My question is for a '96 GT - How long does it normally take for fuel pressure to go down on its own? My car has been sitting since last night and when I opened the schrader valve on the fuel bracket, almost no fuel came out (after I took off the gas cap). Just want to know if this is a normal occurrence before I start pulling off the intake.

It will stay pressurized for a few hours, but that's it. I have a gauge on my rail, and there's no pressure after 24hours for sure.

Fuel pumps pressurize the line at the beginning of the starting sequence for this reason alone. I read once that the line has a "calibrated leak" somewhere in it that bleeds pressure naturally I think back into the fuel tank or somewhere near the highest point in the system.
