I'm thinking about going back closer to stock on my 95 302 cobra, right now it has it has a PowerDyne charger, chip, bigger injectors, methanol injection and a Walbro pump and idles around 1,000 rpm. A local shop said they could remove everything and burn a chip and still have a little more hp than a stock 95 cobra. Does this sound right?

That’s probably about right, maybe a couple hp over the stock tune anyway.

Just curious, why are you returning it back to stock?

It runs good with the SC, but I need to reconfigure the pcv and the alt belt isn't getting enough wrap, it's a poor design, it squeals every time you fire it up, actually burns the belt sometimes, I'm wanting to drive the car on long trips, and I think going back to near stock is the answer.

I am by no way a car audio installer, i am an electrical engineer by trade. I found every answer to these electrical issues i had by going to
The12volt.com

They got a full remote start wiring for every car and where to locate the specific modules.

I bought the factory alt bracket off E bay today, so should have everything except new injectors and chip to remove the SC, I'll post the results when done.

Had the same issue. If you re-route the belt and bypass the smog pump you will get more belt wrap on the alternator pulley.CECE4891-8246-4463-B698-CEB96C4E515F.jpeg

I'll see if I can follow your lead and bypass the smog pump, how is your pcv hooked up? Thanks!

PCV is still factory. EGR ports on back of heads are blocked off and the tube on the h-pipe has been capped of as well along with necessary vacuum lines plugged.

I'm no expert, but I thought the pcv had be on the inlet side of charger, otherwise you'd risk pressurizing the crankcase?
