my 3.8 stang is nearing 200,000 miles so I decided to replaced the timing chain set and tensioner hoping this will help the gas milage some getting the crank and cam time back to spec like when it was new. I have some work on the brakes and all to do first but Ill let you know how it goes with the mpg. has anyone else noted any diffence after changing a timing chain on a high miles motor?

none at all, lol. all though its feesable that if it was worn enough it would be slightly out of time and use a small amount more of fuel, but I doubt it'll be noticable. You'd have better chances w/ new O2 sensors and cleaning your MAF
