Hey guys, new to the foums, have been checkin it out, its pretty awesome.

So i have a 97 GT that i just purchased with 150,000 miles on it.

When the tranny is in reverse, it starts to back up as soon as i release the clutch, and then it slips out of gear and kinda grinds a bit.

Then when i reput it back into reverse, it stays in gear.

Are the syncros shot for the reverse gear?

If i give it more gas, it seems like it won't slip out as easily..

any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Oops, my bad. I should have found the other threads on this topic.

Sounds like it is a common problem.. it's just frustrating :lame:

yeah usually t45 are tad gay, you might need a rebuild , you might experience trouble with your second gear too.

I have been sticking it in Fifth, just after i read about that, and it does seem to help most of the time.

So i guess a SPEC clutch is what i'm going to get :)
