Ok, i just put the performance 180 thermostat in my 1994 Mustang Gt since i know thats what most of you guys recommend. I put it in and it is working properly and when i started driving it it got to the half way point on the temp guage and i thought it was ok then it slowly started going over toward the L on the guage. It stays there the whole ride bt the thing that confuses me is i thought that if it was that far over on the guage then that means its running hot but when i raise the hood to check it out a lil heat comes from under the hood and it seems to be warm but i mean dats gnna be from driving it for a while anyway. My question is if i have a problem or is this normal or what? ANY HELP OR COMMENTS GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANKS IN ADVANCE..

Clogged radiator and engine cooling passages. IIRC flushing the radiator/engine is recommended every few years. Debris in front of the radiator cooling fins (bugs, leaves, etc). Any history with the car? How long have you owned it and what mods have been done? Many possible causes. Just need some background info to give a reasoned response. And, where and how did you install the temp gauge? Might be important to understand the readings.

Not to highjack the thread but what would cause the fan to not kick on except when the AC is on? I replaced the coolant sensor next to the thermostat housing, The thermostat is 160 degree, I changed the water pump and replaced the fan with a new one from LMR. I also replaced the plastic airdam under the car.

Yes, I did burp the system. I replaced the one for the computer that is to the left of the tstat housing if you were looking at the engine

without an actual temp guage it would be hard to tell what is actually going on. Are you having problems with it overheating?

It did overheat the other day and that's why I changed all that stuff. I'm concerned about the fan not working without the AC though.

when you pull codes, one of the first thing you'll hear is a series of clicks then the fan will kick at low speed for a couple seconds then on hi for a couple seconds. that will test out your relays in the ccrm and low and hi speed too.
