Rpms hanging

Ok we'll lately I've been havin problems with my car dying whenever I turn the wheels or put it under any load at idle and I had the car tuned because its a 5.0 head cam intake and all the usual problems and after the tune it did great until recently it started doin this so I figured it was the iac and it was it doesn't die anymore and does great but now when I shift it will hang at the rpm I reached until i put into another gear and when I pop it in neutral like rolling to a stop it will hang at 2000 rpm for about 15 to 20 seconds before returning to proper idle so what do y'all think I need to do to correct this thanks for the help

i would check to see if the throttle is sticking first and then check n see if there r any vacuum leaks at the intake manifold

the problem may need the hanging idle fix... its an easy process when you simply put a restricter plate into the IAC system.

but ya, try an iac restrictor but my experiance with them is they will sometimes pull the idle down too fast and cause a sputter, just play with the hole sizes and it can easly be made out of a soda can by tracing ur iac gasket..

Put a ohm meter on the tps. Cycle the tps very slowly with the ohm meter connected looking for drops on the reading.

during that "Tune up" did you or anyone adjust the Idle air bypass, rather then the idle adjustment screw? The idle adjustment is on the side of the TB, the bypass is on the other side of the TB by the IAC and it allows air to go past the butterfly no matter what the IAC is set at by the computer.

No he put it on the dyno and tuned all the drivability bugs out and never touched the tb it has never been messed with it is set at what it was when I pulled it out of the box when I ordered it , I figured the old iac was havin trouble when it was tuned so he had to tell it to work harder to open and now since it has a new one the functions properly it doesn't demand as much to open and close because the iac on there was the one that came from the factory had all original numbers and ford markings and stuff tell me if my assumptions wrong cause I really don't know

I may be way off with this but you mentioned it dies when you put a load on it ..like turning whatever have you checked your power steering pump by chance I have actually seen cars if the pump is starting to fail when you turn sharp it idles down and nearly dies . just a idea hope u get it fixed .
