I want to run the american muscle hypercoated FR500's in 18x9 and 18x10 on my 97. the car is lowered with steeda sport springs. will I have any issues? would I run a 255 35 on the front and a 285 35 on the back? will these fit? I would like some pics of this setup if anyone has. my car is pac green btw. I wanted the 17's with a 10.5 in the back but no hypercoat available. how do you guys think the anthracite would look on a PG/tan vert if I went with the 17's?

you shouldnt have any wheel fitment problems, i have eibachs sportline springs with 18s with no problems, i would recommend
rolling your rear fender lip up for better clearance. the front tire size (255/35) sounds about perfect, i have heard 265's rub
and 245 (what i have) looks too small. you could go wider on the back, (295/35) but it all comes down to budget, preference,
etc

I REALLY dont want to roll the lips. I have been trying very hard to not butcher this thing in any way. I even gave up some power because I wont cut a hole for a power pipe on the vortech :) every part I have removed has been bagged and tagged for future reference. I am just funny that way lol

i see your point, but at the same time you might do some damage to your tires if you dont roll the rear fender. my 315s look like someone has slashed them, then i finally got a little intelligent and rolled them.

According to Americanmuscle.com you should run 265/35/18 up front and 285/35/18 out back, but i'm sure a 295 would fit.

i have a 98 GT 'vert lowered with a pro-kit on 18x9/10 Saleens

275/35 front and 295/35 rear fit perfrct no issues...

i just changed to 275/35 and 315/30 Michelin PS2's for my new setup.

255's are too skinny for a 9 IMO

WOW, that helps me out too. i just ordered my 18's and I'm going to run 265/35's front, and 285/35's rear cause I can get all 4 tires for under $250..... all Michelin's too, not bad for a tire that usually cost's $300 each!!

How'd you get the tires so cheap?

I live 15 mins from Tire Rack, and they sell used tires. These one's came off a M5 they were testing on their track. They have about 8 laps and still read at 7/32 tread depth!! They come new with only 8/32's so I guess I just lucked out. I always buy my tires from there, they have about 300 sets at a time. But you cannot call them or have them shipped, they only sell them to walk-in's cause they make you sign a waiver for the warranty.
