Ok to add to all the other problems i have with the stang, my car started running hot around M and A on normal which it has never done. Ive had a leak since ive bought the car and thought it was the upper hose but it turns out to be i have a hole in the plastic under the hose!! My ? is will a hole in the radiator cause your car to run hot? Can i use the radiator jv weld compound, will it work. This is just a temperarly fix till i can buy a new one.

It won't necessarily make it run hot unless it's losing water too fast for you to keep up with filling it. You can try the JB weld, though I doubt it'll work for long depending on the location. Worth a try though I guess.

Just buy a new on. And yes it can. If you have a leak it can cause the system to no fully pressurize therefore it could overheat. they are only like 100 bucks new with a lifetime warranty.

if it's sucking in air into the system it can overheat. BUT if your only using your stock gauge it doesn't always mean it is getting hot. those stock gauges are barely worth the circuitry they are made of.
