Well not in that order. I went to "The Horse Magazine' SMOKEOUT Bike Rally" here in NC this past saturday and decided then and there I had to build a bike next. I fell in love with some of the SICKEST bikes there being lowly lil sportsters. Anyways, we left on sunday and went off to pick up my newest craigslist find....
16ft open trailer, slide out ramps, removable rails and fenders, 4 wheel brakes, front rack with tool box, and a spare too boot! PERFECT for the trips to the track with the stang and to tow it out to cali. I couldn't pass up the $1500 price tag...i woulda spend 1/3rd that just to rent a trailer for the move to cali so I see it as a $1000 trailer!
So we got the trailer and we're off to pick up my dad's newest purchase. 1990 FLH HD 1200 Sportster. The price was STOOOOOPID cheap. Well I didn't really want it until the guy said "I got an extra tank and fenders for it too....lemme get'em." He walks out with this.
My dad looked at me and said "Oh f**k, I can hear the gears turning already...."
For those who don't know...its pretty much spot on the same color as the mustang (see sig).
Anyways, this is what the bike looks like right now.
First thing is switching out the cheap-o mags for some wires....then start chopping it up! Switching to a rigid, drop the seat as low as I can, and LOTS of powder coating (Paul where you at?).
