I just went out and bolted the intake manifold down and got the valve covers out. With my scorpion race series 1.6 rockers the valve covers do not clear. Is there a valve cover out there that will clear and not take any modifications to bolt on? Please tell me so or this cars sidelined til next spring and i DO NOT want that nor do I wanna have to deal with the wife over it haha.

I use a stamped chrome cover but I have no idea where it came from or who makes it. Be carefull you do not go too tall or it will hit the intake.

Just use Foxbody Valve covers

I got some chrome ones for $40 bucks

I had to grind the inside baffle out and they fit my 1.6 FMS Rockers and they will fit my 1.72 on the way ....

I read the fox body covers need the oil fill tube modded to fit by the stock TB..??

Might be a tight fit but you can fin-nagle (sp?) with the oil tube and intake tube to make it work. Unless you want to hunt down some 94 95 cobra valve covers. But every pair I've seen for sale have been up for an arm and a leg. The sellers think they have gold or somthing.

Trick flow covers go right in and clear, but it depends on which intake you are using, but I think it clears with most.

I run a cobra intake on mine as well. You might want to consider a 1/2" spacer to give the intake enough space to clear it. Unfortunatly you will need a different spacer on the gt then you will in the cobra intake.

see which ones come with the to end kit and you will be fine with those.

However I did just see a set of fox body covers on my local CL for $40 if money is an issue.
