Screeching Sound When Reversing

When I reverse, particularly when it's slow I hear a horrible high pitched screeching sound, any thoughts on what it might be since it only happens in reverse? Brakes possibly?

from the motor, from the trans, from the rear end? Can you feel it in the car/pedals, does it effect the rpm or is it just a noise? Maybe take a video of it, or of you making the noise as closely as you can with some part of your body...

Just a sound, definitely not coming from the engine or trans. Maybe I'll post a video later

Sorry upon further inspection it only happens when I'm braking in reverse, sounds like screeching and compressed air

have someone back it up for you and listen around the brake area.

Is your car lowered? If so, check to see if the parking brake cable bracket is rubbing on the drive shaft.

Car isn't lowered but should I check that anyways?

it would be a great idea to get under the rear end and driveshaft and take a look.
