SCT Tuner Question

Ever since I had to use the strategy tune instead of the R91 custom tune my mileage has gone to shit and it feels like the car doesn't pick up like it should be.. I had to delete my EGR to install my Bullitt manifold awhile back and the R91 does not give me the option to turn it off. So my question is... Is it already turned off in the R91? I'd love to go back to that tune and see if the mileage increases, but before I do I'd like to know if anyone has any prior experience with this.

I suppose worst comes to worst I could try it and wait to see if the CEL comes on.. But if I can avoid the hassle of retuning shit for not reason I'd like to lol

Did you buy this tuner second hand? This 91r tune is a strategy tune? Dont remember that being in them.
Other then that, the EGR is not turned off in strat tunes. But without proper tuning would cause a drop in MPG


Just remember. As many of the options you choose in the strat tunes. They are not specifically built for your car. They will not give as good of a result as a custom tune.

Yeah it came second hand shifty. Came with the car. And shit its not turned off? Guess that cancels that out.

I'm definitely looking into custom tuning but didn't realize it costs about $150 a pop... I know they don't come factory setup to run right with the shit I have. I'll check around locally to see what tuners can do. This mileage drop is suckin hard

Lol 150 is what my tuner charges per hour. Get a custom tune and get it turned off via that.

Yea 150 is a steal . It's 150 a hour for dyno time here plus a chip is a few hundred as well

Where the hell do you live? Mike is doing the tune on my car as soon as he gets set up in his new shop.
If you buy the package he has (I'm getting the chip package for $425, programmer is another 100) you get the chip/programmer, free custom tunes for life and your dyno time is locked in at $75 for life. Otherwise I think it's $100/hr.
