I'am on quite a few forums and here and there I read about seafoam. Now the basic run down of what I understand is after you put it into the car, and then start it, it will smoke really bad for about 20 minutes, but supposibly it cleans out your motor of carbon and other such thnigs. That sounds all fine and dandy, but it seems like you have people that swear to it this product, some even claiming that their car felt a good bit faster afterwards. Then on the other hand I ahve heard people say that their cars have smoked for days and have felt no benefit.

Opinions?

I don't swear by it. Nor do I swear against it. I've used it a few times. But if I go and tell you what I noticed after using it, then Paul would come in here and tell you that "it was all in my head" :uglystupid2:

Oh yeah, sure. Sorry. Meant to post this earlier but I'm alittle preoccupied:

Car felt smoother. It idled better and seemed to accelerate smoother. Was it faster? No. Was it more powerful? No.

I don't put anything in my car, no gas additives or oil additives or any of that bullshit. imo I think it just gunks up your engine more because it's trying to fix leaks or it thins out your oil or doesn't mix with it. idk just my opinion It might just be my paranoia but I just run everything the same. all 6 quarts the same oil and the same filter as the oil I bought. usually mobil 1

Good stuff. I used this in my old POS Saturn, that thing smoked forever from all the crap in there. It worked. It did feel better afterwards.

seafoam recomends that after you run it through your engine, you drop the oil pan and thoroughly clean it, to remove the gunk that is cleaned from the engine, and now sitting in the bottom of your pan...
