Im affraid to use seafoam on my car because it seems very acid and I wouldnt want to damage my engine with it,
but I think my engine deserves a good internal clean up, would it be a good idea or is it bad? :confused1:

Putting seafoam in the gas tank is the same as running any other fuel system cleaner, also the oil change only matters if you are pouring it in your oil

I have used it in the past on other cars and while it does make a lot of white smoke it didn't really change the way the cars ran

I've used it in my gas tank and sucked up into the intake. Cant say how well it worked in the gas but it sure as hell made smoke when i put it in the intake.

I wouldn't feel comfortable putting it in my oil tho. Thinning out oil is something I don't wanna do.

I haven't ran SeaFoam in mine, but I did put some Champion Fuel System Cleaner (got it at work on clearance for $.25) in my car, and boosted my mileage from 23mpg to 25mpg. Isn't a huge increase, but when one drives 40 minutes each direction to work and back, every little bit helps.

Working in an auto parts store, I do sell a lot of SeaFoam. I have never had anyone complain about it, and we sell a lot of the stuff. I can't speak for everyone, but it seems like a decent enough product.

I know that over on the Ford Truck Enthusiasts forum, they can't seem to sing enough praises for the stuff. (Just chiming in here, not trying to say SeaFoam is the greatest thing since gasoline for your car, but just recording what I've observed.)
