anyone have a way of seperating the lense from the reflector? I am considering heat but was not sure if anyone has a better way?

vertical's are more common than sequential's :dontknow:

horizontals= 94+95

verticals= 96, 97, 98

it's no wonder they're more common! they look 1 million times better :p

I like the history behind the verticle lights, but the horozontal look make the back end look wider and meaner.

When I finish my sequential lights, there will be some disappointed horozontal poeple that will want to switch back.

hahahaha ya theres a lot of those import ones around here. usually see them rice matched with chrome rims that belong on an escalade. are these the exports your talkin bout? and what do you guys think about these smoked? i linked them to the site where you can buy em too, just in case anyone wants to check those out

These are stock 94-95 lights that don't have any paint on them not exports.

These are exports:

I think sequentials would be cool on horizontals if you could make them work ok. Im working on taking an old set of horizontals and putting about 100 LEDS in the back of them. Spaced about 1/2 inch apart outlining each bar. Still a work in progress though. Im trying to find somewhere i can get a good price on LEDs in bulk

i thought about doing the same thing 94svtturbo but in end it was just too costly. I was also thinking about taking a set of these and taking them apart and just using the circuitry and the LEDs but then its basically ruining a new set of lights.

in the end i decided i want exports instead of trying to mess with all that.

Hmmm. never thought about takin apart some other tails. but i have found place for to get 100 LEDs for about 25 bucks. so im thinkin i would spend 50 bucks or so on LEDs then I would just need a few resistors and basically no likfe so i havetime to actually do this. haha

why no use the led strips fellas? I was going to glue three of them to the three lenses directly, and then use one to light up the area behind them for the tail lights. This way they the light would transmit straight out and not bleed into other lenses and the tail lights would not be too bright. This would cover all the bases for less then $20 per light if you order the strips.

do you mean putting a led strip onto each of the bars from the inside? i was talking about taking individual LEDs and drilling a small dimple in the back of the lense and glueing the head of the LED into that dimple. and space them out ab out every half inch or so. this would go around the outside of each bar on our taillights

I like the idea of splitting the taillights and having the led's on the inside. With the tails looking stock.

Ok, next time save the political correctness for someone who cares... not to mention, how can you say that putting horizontally-flashing sequentials on vertically-stacked tail lights isn't at all in the least bit retarded looking?

if they were mounted the way I described and only lit up each lense I do not think it would look stupid at all, this would of course include the 3rd lense that normally doesn't light up. I think the combination of the 3rd light lit up and flashing with the others would look really cool, not to mention 1 off until it was copied by the followers....

my point being, that you CAN hook up sequentials on horizontals without modification to the lenses/housings, but doing so, would look absolutely retarded. of course there are ways you could potentially modify the housings to make it look good, but 99% of the people asking about sequentials on horizontal tail lights, aren't going to be looking to modify the housings to do so.
