Its been FOREVER since i posted here, but heres the question. What do you think would be best: keep the v6 as a daily and find a 94/95 5.0 and work on that for a fun weekend car, sell the v6 and just plain out buy a gt and build that? Keep in mind ill be in college (UTI in Orlando). Also, the old man promised to pay insurance on the v6 as long as im in school, so if i sell it ill have to pay insurance on the next car. If i get another car cheap enough ill mod that one: bottom end, turbo, gears, suspension, wheels, tranny, etc. on the low. Any other ideas are welcome.

If you can afford to buy 2, I say do it! If you're like me, you drive your GT though! Keep the sixer as a driver.

I was thinking of trying the import thing but i got use to RWD and fell in love with it. What would be a good base car (year/model) for something like this?

I actually considered a 240 and sc300, is300, s2000, etc. I just already know alot about mustangs and the motors, trannys, etc. that i dont wanna relearn anything else just yet.

hold up now. You don't pay twice the insurance, you might pay a little more but nowhere near twice. Everything else really isn't more. You're paying for two but you're using the stuff half as fast. When you drive one car it's not wearing out the other one so it lasts that much longer, so really you're not paying twice the tires, gas, maintenance, anything.

This is true, but then ill be paying for an apartment or renting a house down in Orlando. And paying for gas for the daily, gas for the weekend car, and parts for the weekend car will add up QUICK. So maybe owning one car down there will be just the right thing to do. Even if i sell the v6 and get a v8, it will be cheaper than to mod and fix problems on the v6 as it is.
