setting lash on rockers?

having problems getting my rockers right poping out the xhaust when trying to start ryclef whats up?

Went to tdc and did all the tight stuff but it just domt work

what kind of rockers are you running and how are you setting them up?

Yeah, please more details because popping out of the exhaust can be other things. Are you saying that they come loose after you start your car? If so, do you have the correct pushrods? Did you set to 0 lash + 1/4-1/2 turn? Did you upgrade your valve springs to avoid binding? etc, more info please.

I think he is saying they're too tight and holding the exhaust valve open. They maybe holding the intake valve open as well and you don't know it. I ran into a similar problem on a car. Car ran GREAT on motor but the second you touch the nitrous, it would blow the air filter off the car. Guy said the kit was the same kit for years. Asked what changed. Said he pulled the heads to have the springs reshimmed. Turned out, he set the valve lash too tight and it was holding one of the intake valves open slightly causing the N2O backfires. Reset lash, sprayed like a champ. So it is possible that he may have done the same thing on the exhaust side.

crane energiser the heads are world sr and i spoke to ford tech he said the dist. Could be up too far. Reset lash today better but still wont start will try dist tomorrow
