So yesterday me & my buddy attempted to install my b&m hammer shifter but came across a small problem.
This ball like piece right here does not fit correctly in what i believe is the end of the shifter cable.

The problem is that the ball is too small and I need a larger version.
The stock shifter has a bigger ball fitting but its welded or pressed on to the original shifter so i can't remove it.

I went to naapa, home depot, and autozone to see if they sold such a part but they said no.
I don't even know the real name for the piece.

Any help is appreciated.

Check their website and make sure they are indeed the same shifter. Ask your buddy if it came with any additional parts when he bought it. Maybe they came with different pieces for this application? I'd definitely contact B&M and see what they say. They might just send you the right piece for next to nothing.

Not to go off topic but hopefully for xmas I'll be getting the B&M Hammer Ratcher shifter from american muscle. Where did you get the 8 ball to put on instead of the bar handle it comes with? Is that 8 ball compatible with the thread size of the shifter or did you need an adapter kit?
