my t5 is amazingly still alive and i've been beating the hell out of it since 2004 with slicks and nitrous, but i don't trust it :nono:

i think you'll be fine if you baby it for now.

I just had to rebuild mine, broke the shift keys @ 260hp, but it had 185,000 miles. Hoping it stays alive for a while after my 347 is in.
