Hey guys, I am wondering if I should buy this mustang.

The good? 1995 mustang, was a v6, swapped to 5.0 v8 (but from a van or something) it's carbed, has a c4 trans, 89k miles, teal in color, cobra front clip, 17" rims faily clean, runs and drives. There is almost no rust underneath and a small amount around the hood.

The bad: trans is in reverse shift patern, one snapped lug, missing airbag(can get one for $17), needs hood and front bumper painted, rock chips in paint, but not that many.

The guy wants 1500 for it and will throw in factory tail lights (has chromed a/m ones on it), ford factory shop manual and maybe 2 tires. sound like a good deal...?

Reverse pattern??? like first is all the way to the right?...Not to hard to get used to, I had a honda like that...Straight JDM

Any way...honestly...I'd buy it just for the C4...but say bye bye to gas mileage...especially with the carbed motor, that kill gas mileage even more....with the C4 that car will SCREAM on the highway....good luck!

Personally I wouldn't buy it but I stay away from vehicles with tons of work done to them or motor swaps. With the issues that it has you'd probably be spending a good amount of money in repairs or random breaking that are sure to follow.

I'd skip and look for something better put together.

It's a auto with reverse manual valve body that's a sweet setup as for problems it's carbed so it's simple as fuck I'd offer the guy like 1100 it's a good little thing to have fun with and learn with

Have you driven a JDM car ? Shift pattern is the same your just driving in the right side of the car . It's like your shifting for a friend

I want a cheap mustang to be a semi dd, I only drive about 4 miles to work, 20 miles max a day in the city. From what I hear this would be bad for what i'm looking for?

Well it might need work it's not a big deal . Ive driven reverse manual valve bodied cars for dailys . How's it run have you driven the car . You can find something better for 2000 I bought my yellow car for 2k when it was stock with 99svt wheels on it but it's since one threw a huge transformation since then

I think you should test drive it and if you like it, buy it. I'd stay away from mildly to heavly modified vehicles though like Brain said.

The car will be simple and if the body is straight and will not cost a lot to fix/paint it really is not a bad deal. I daily drove a carbed 302 with a reverse manual valve bodied C4 and 4.10s for 3 years. I averaged 22mpg on the highway just as long as I kept it around 60mph(3k rpms). I miss the simplicity of that car most days, it was fast to fix and I was never once stranded by it.
