If I were you i'd drive a car with gears in it first. I bought a car with 3.73's and I wish it had at least 3.55's.. maybe 3.27's. But, if you know what you're getting into then I have no idea lol. I've never paid for gears.

I don't think I would at 250.... 200 to a max of 225

Those headers brand new are like $250 and $150 for gears.
So he's basically getting gears for free and the parts are bnib.

I'd probably take that deal, but thats just me.

You can find deals like that all day long here for the price I listed. See what he is willing to go to... Also tell him you have cash in hand and can meet him in an hour... Instant cash really reals them in. Trust me on this.

ask him what his bottom dollar is if you meet him in an hour. People are always responding to these to ask that question but also always want you to take payments/trades or something to bug you. Letting him know you are serious to meet him that night to pay always seems to make a difference when I ask.

Equal lengths are great right up till you need to change plugs or have a plug cable that gets too close.

The best deals I got off craigslist were when I played with the seller first from other email accounts from some friends accounts that helped. Sent a bunch of questions/requests just to get him tired of the BS tire-kickers so that when I show up sayin I gots cash in hand and will meet him in an hour he is ready to deal! just dumb shit really "are you willing to do trades?", BS and beat him down on price only to ask if he can hold it for you for 2 weeks when I would get paid. Of course a couple of scam letters "I will mail you a money order for 3x the price you offered but I need you to cash it and then send me $100 back so I can bla bla bla.... I did this back in phoenix when a guy posted a magnaflow high-flow catted X-pipe that was only a month old with no marks on it. He had it priced high at $300 at the time(this was a few years ago) and I figured it was going to scare the majority of the people off with the price so I had time to play with him to get him where I wanted him. I drug it out for almost 2 weeks before I sent him the closer email from my account. Short and sweet, " I would like to buy your x-pipe but I only have $100 that I can spare for it. I know its worth more and would pay more if I could but if your interested I can meet you tonight with the money." Took him 15 mins to reply back that he would take that price now as he was tired of all scam/wasted time emails (he he he). Pipe honestly didn't have a single scratch on it. and it wasn't even dirty. SCORE!

I could have also gone and picked it up that afternoon for $250 if I wanted. I had the cash for it and needed the pipe but idunno this idea popped into my head and I went with it and saved $150 bucks and I got it for so it was a win/win for me. Can't do that all the time by any means but the next time you see something you like and they are just asking too much for it get your buddies to help by sending some emails to him. Wasn't any extra work for me really other then asking a favor of my friends, just took an extra week.

Now last week when I found the 60 gallon 6 hp craftsman compressor for $275 I tried to see if he would come down but knowing I was already almost steeling it the only extra I was able to get was to have him deliver it. I mean it wasn't big money but it saved me an afternoon in aug moving a big-assed compressor.

Don't ever pay more than 1/2 of new parts for used parts. Ever.

Hahaha that's dirty. But smart. I'd do it. And I agree with not spending more than 50% new value on used parts. I spend $350 on my used PI heads and got burned. The passenger side head was slightly warped and I had to have it re-milled by fox lake for about $400 with shipping costs. That's $750 total for used PI heads that cost $815 brand new.
