Ok so here's my very odd issue.....I have eliminated the A/C and smog off my 95 5.0L I used a turn buckle from a march alternator bracket kit and made a secondarl tensioner. I drove the car around just fine with it on. I put the Turbo kit on and didn't change ANYTHING yet now I am shredding belts. Anyone got any ideas on where to start looking? :BangHead:

Is the heat from the turbo melting the belt?
Do you have any clearance issues near the belt?
Is the tensioner at it's limit or binding?
Can you get us a pic of the set up with the turbo installed.

The belt is not close enought to the turbo for heat to be an issues and it shreds it just sitting there idling. I got another belt and it seems fine with just the turn buckle. I was using it with the stock tensioner so I am assuming it was just way too tight. What do you think?

that sounds like that might be it. just too tight.
Have you ever watched the tensioner when the engine is revved? It moves quite a bit.
