:crybaby2: :crybaby2: :crybaby2: I just got a call from the shop, and they basically told me to sit down and be ready..

The clutch, on top of being installed WRONG, (wtf I know right?).. the disk itself was cracked ruing the install and got everything out of alignment. (The rattle).

He asked me how many miles I had been driving it, and when I told him 2500 miles, he flipped **** and told me it wasn't wise to even drive it down to his shop.

On top of needing an entire clutch job, the flywheel is warped, the rear main seal is leaking all over the shop from the harsh clutch vibration, and all 4 brakes are shot.

I've got an 1800 bill coming my way + whatever else the guy finds.

Remember, the shop that installed it is brets autoworks, and I took it to anderson automotive.

Give me encouragement!

i would agree dont know how possible that really is unless the shop that put it in clanped the disc in the edge of the pressure plate. i wouls go down there and check it out my self istead of paying 1800 dollars for something thats prob only 600 in parts.

Me and my dad would fix it ourselves but we don't have a garage right now.

Why would you even let them look at your brakes? If anything have them do the clutch job only

I don't think so.. I've known brakes were needing replacement since I bought the car, and the clutch has been shaking violently and making horrible noises since replacement.

Why you accepted the car with vibrations and an obviously shitty job, is beyond me. Something doesn't smell right.

I hate shops. Good luck homie.

Jack stands and a drive way would be how i'd be doing it. These cars aren't to bad to pop the trannies out, no where near as bad as my other car.

4.6 Mustang GT?

795 installed, thats new clutch disc, pressure plate, throwout bearing, pilot bearing, and resurfacing the flywheel. Comes with a 3 year 36k mile warranty.

Rear main seal is leaking? 30 bucks, no labor since the transmission is out already.

So will you be bringing it to the shop I work at? The 1000 or so dollars should cover the 15 hour drive.

You're getting ripped off.

Brakes are worth 1000 dollars?

A shop in town says in their advertisments new pads and resurfaced rotors for 89 dollars. You can buy a Cobra brake kit for 400 dollars with Cobra calipers, loaded pads, stainless steel lines and 13 inch rotors.

Well as I and several other people have said, you're most definitely getting ripped off to what sounds like the tune of 1000 dollars. For the price he's charging you I could have done your brakes, your clutch, and rebuilt your transmission and probably have some room to spare.
