This is my ride. It's an import from Japan which explains the plastic on the fenders.

Sadly all the caps on the rims got stolen (I'm glad and wonder why the pony is still there!!)

Don't you just hate it when people don't leave you or your car alone when you want to do a photoshoot? That's my brother!

And under the hood, needs a cleanup and also need to make a floor for the battery!!

-----------------
The picture quality is not that good because I used a point and shoot camera. When it's out all fixed up from the garage I will shoot it with the DSLR.

I bought the car from a needy guy who didn't have enough money to get married, for about a $1200. The steering needs work, has a gap. The gearbox mounts need to replaced or bolts tightened. Needs a new clutch. I don't know if you can see but the bumper needs a repaint. Now compressor needs work or replacement.

Interior, need to cleanup the engine bay first. fabricate a hard floor for the battery so no need for a strap to hold it! The driver seat motor is busted, probably would get a manual seat or maybe an electric one, but wonder if I get one in black leather!

Comments?

Looks like a sweet starting point. Is there anyways to take the plastic off the fenders?

I take the plastics off but I don't know how they are put up, with glue or screws. Will look at everything step by step.

The car's steering needed rods on the both side, bought them last night and gave the shop, it should be fixed by tonight.

Will let it rip for a while and then buy the 450 HP clutch kit and install together with the mounts for the gearbox. Am also looking for a compressor now because mine needs replacement, I will get the final call tonight about it though.

Thanks for the comments guys.

I really wish to work on my pony myself but I don't have two things, one: I live in an apartment so I don't have a garage, two: I don't really know what to do under the hood except the simple things like checking fluids etc.

It's 8AM here now, by 5PM the car will/should be ready. I went last night and checked the steering, it's fixed. They are fixing up the compressor now if they can otherwise they will just get the car started.

The Magnaflow exhaust is too loud for me, just realized when the girlfriend said she can't here me from outside the car. My cousin has a 98 with stock exhausts, will switch with him. The car is due for inspection in December anyways and here the cops inspect the cars, so they wouldn't give it a pass if it's too loud. I also don't like too much noise even though it's sex noise!

Shall drive it tonight and take a couple of shots and videos if I can.

The fender flares are an export addition and somewhat rare. The battery tray is whats missing or broke you can buy a new one from www.latemodelrestoration.comhttp:// . Shipping parts is gonna suck though. As for cleaning the engine bay sand is a evil thing. Simple Green, some water, and a soft brush will work wonders.

nice car. a fresh set of headlights would give that car a great facelift, as the rest of the car seems like its in great shape.

Nice stang! I go through Dubai on my way home from Afghanistan. I remember seeing a few mustangs in the UAE when I was there last. I went through Qatar as well and didn't see any of them there, but it was late at night when I came through. Good luck with it. I know parts will be hard to get over there!

Yes, it's a Japanese import and I also like the flares. They are looked down at in this country though! I'm a noob, what do you mean by simple green? As far as I know, greens are vegetables!

That's on the to-do list for the car, but after the necessary stuff... Thanks!

The thing about new parts is, the aftermarket availability is not there so the only option is to import and pay for high shipping rates! The stock parts can be found easily but for big bucks, a stock clutch kit here is about $400, and from what I saw online I can get a heavy duty 450HP clutch kit for $400! The problem is shipping though! There are a lot of ricer boys here who buy Mustangs because they know these cars are powerful, but after 2 or 3 days they crash 'em. These cars goto the junk yard and are sold on weight! Getting parts from these cars is easy!

I got the tire rods from a car which crashed 3 days ago for $50....

You come to Oman mate, you'll see these everywhere but again, the idiot ricers buy them and have spoiled the name! Even after that, these cars are HUGE chick magnets :D

Thank you, me too!

This car is more powerful than a normal 5.0 for some reason! Before a Mustang I use to own a Chaser with a Supra 2JZ-GTE, this car pulls much more aggressively!! I came to work today on the stang and dear god! Can't step on it! I have to change gears by 4000 revs, it becomes scary after that. I don't know for sure but I have a doubt that the cams have been changed. It's really different than my cousin's 5.0, I don't know if an auto can be compared to M/T but I felt it's really different.

Overall, I'm loving being an owner of this beauty.

I already chose the paint which will go on it. Keeping the registration and cops off my back, the registration card of the car says "Silver" as the color, so will do a different exotic metallic shade of silver on the car! That's in the far future though.

--

Things fixed:

Tire Rods both sides
Compressor coil, clutch, bearings, and pulley
Toe and Camber adjusted and wheels aligned
Spark plugs replaced with Motorcraft

--

Things planned:

Switch with cousin's stock exhaust system to get rid of the noise
Tune up at Ford Service center (Oil and filter replacement)
Clutch kit replacement
Battery stand to be fabricated or bought (junk yard)
Engine and gearbox mount rubbers to be replaced
New compressor
New tires and wheel caps
New headlights
New paint job (Hot metallic Silver)

Update, the AC compressor is not fixed. The same problem as before, going to get my money back from the garage and plan to get a compressor next month.
