since when is kenne bell so quiet?

they advertise their them as "whisper quiet" now so there's no "annoying gear whine" ....

if i get a supercharger I would want it to be loud as hell... thats what kenne bells are known for, so what is the loudest one now?

The KB for the Lightnings scream..........not quite as loud as a ported eaton with the silencer filled but loud none the less. I would think the one for the mustang would be about the same in terms of the winnneeeee that comes with it ..

Are you sure they don't just mean they're quiet at idle and under normal driving? Like they don't have an annoying chirping or screaming under the hood at idle, I think that gets old. As far as I know all KBs whine under throttle, if they made them quieter then that's just gay.

a lot of the blower companies are marketing quiet blowers.

my s-trim is loud as hell and I love it.

But yah with the way the impellers are being designed now, same thing with the screws on the whipple/kb they are just getting more efficient which means they're going to be quieter.

If he wants a scream get an older KB

Some folks don't want all the noise. I wouldn't want a noisy blower. That's one of the reasons I sold my V-1 T-trim.

I do everything I can to make my cars quieter, not louder. I like peace and quiet.

I feel the same way. I have no need to drive around screaming for attention, I try to fly under the radar. Makes the can of whoop ass I'm about to unleash that much more brutal.

Well the thing is KBs for the 5.0s were never as loud to start with. Hearing the whine when on the throttle is part of the awesomeness, it's not like its always loud and obnoxious like a loud exhaust or something.

Under normal driving conditions you can't really hear mine... till I floor it then it wakes up and gives off the trademark sound. When I race you can't mistake it from the very moment I take off.

idk i wathced a vid of a gto last night dynoing with a kenne bell... it was so faint you could barely hear the s/c but you could hear the exhaust just fine.

Idk, I don't think you can necessarily compare KBs between the different models for different cars. The main reason KBs have the reputation for screaming is because most of the ones u see online are on Termies pushing around 20psi. At lower PSI they really aren't as loud, plus most of the sound is heard in front of the car. Sometimes next to/behind the car u don't hear it at all.
