Slight knocking on startup?

When I crank the car up, before it actually starts, I hear a series of knocks. It starts up fine and runs like a champ, but I'd like to know what this noise is.

mine does this , broken or worn motor mount.

mine does this also, but it don't sound like motor mounts .... it has a slight knock knock knock on the bottom of the motor. Then it goes away when it warms up... i think its just that the motor is wore in... and taps a little when its cold... kinda like a forged piston in a cylender till it warms up... tap tap tap lol.

Mine rattled, rapidly and extremely briefly. This was aside from the piston slap, I just figured it was the time it took oil to get up top.
