Just went to install some canton valve covers and when I went to install the small baffle directly below the oil fill tube I realized that the supplied self tapping screws were way to small. Rather than even begin to cut into the pre-drilled holes they just slid all the way in.
I don't think I can tap them because there just isn't enough depth for a tap to make more than 2-3 good threads. Same with a larger self-tapping screw, the wholes just aren't deep enough.
Dunno, if I got a blem set of valve covers or they sent me the wrong screws or what. Really don't understand why the dang baffle wasn't already assembled anyways... frustrating. any recommendations.?
