Now i just realized this doesn't make sense anymore. Is the only solution to make a 94-98 GT mustang fast is:
A turbo or supercharger?

I dont race my car, but it seems these freaking 2005+ Luxury cars can move out pretty fast right off the line. If i try that i just make tons of noise, but dont go anywhere compared to them.

From what i know this car has pretty much all the bolt ons you can do minus headers/intake.. ported intake??

I fixed my blown header gasket and picked up some lost horsepower, but im still slow hah

True, but when a quiet ass newer car (non luxury) can dust you in your loud mustang... thats strange...

Put some of the mods I got and you will not even think of other cars hahah.

jk I know you think yours is loud do a stroke H/C/I Swap and Open Exhaust with no cats adds a little more volume

Never been dusted by luxury car.....have had two close races with S4 T4 turbo swap and M5 good list of mods and never had a problem...guess they were not driving the cars enough but they said they were on both occasions. (3 horn Honk)

mm sorry but if you are NA with just bolt ons... the S4 and M5 should have put football fields on you. i drive AMG's, Mseries, Lexus', mercedes, audi's, jag's all day long for about 7 miles at my valet job. they are in a different league then a bolt on sn95 GT.

Take a look at his link. You would need about 5000$ for what he has though. lol

347 stroker. I would say pushing around 400 hp with what he's got. Money talks.

I have a 2003 GT. If I had a 3 horn honk from an Audi RS4 I wouldn`t bother and save my gas.

A) You have an Auto
B) You have a drop top
C) You have a bolt on car....

Its not a surprise that when your car make 225 hp and weighs over 3500lbs, you're gonna get walked...

+1 and I'm sorry but I drive my 5 speed like a auto sometimes since I'm so used to driving it. Been driving Mustang 5 speeds since 14 and now 23.

I have an auto and u can get a Auto to run just as quick as a manual car..

I personally was tired of driving my car after one month. The whole makin alot of noise while not really going anywhere got old quick..

I had two BMW's both 95's. One was a M3 and the other was a foreign 318i Sedan 4cylinder turbo. Both cars sucked off the line about like my stang but at 20+mph punch they would walk my stang a few football fields.. And anything at 70+mph the stang wouldnt have had a prayer..

Thats all going to change real soon when i get my top end back on. But come TAX time if i cant get the wife to want a a Stang then she wants another BMW. Preferably the 94-98 3 series.

Bolt-ons? Turbos and Sc's are bolt-ons and u can easily smoke a Luxury or hi end sports car with one...

But , headers, heads, intakes, tuners, and stuff like that will only keep u on their tale longer.

U need lots of boost or more cubes to compete.

No matter how great you think that Auto shifts (Even with A Race Ready and Stall Auto) you still put down less HP and TQ then a manual car of the same exact specs. Its simple.....less loss of power through the drivetrain, a torque converter is always going to lose more power then a direct clutch. Also you can really rev out that motor to the max ( I have no rev limiter)

By the way: :headbang: Thanks for the header gasket swap tips. They worked perfect.. no leaks now :eek:ccasion14:

I have B and C, but not A. I know a lot of automatic people have the B&M shifter, but i have the 5 speed B&M Shifter :la:

I don't street race or track race, but when i see someone @ a stop light take off and pretty much is gone in a second while im still traveling by the Honda making tons of noise its funny.

To me both the sn95 94-95 and 96-98 are about the same stock for stock. If i had the money, i'll defiantly have a shop fix her up like some of you guys cars.

Don't complain about being slow, Our stangs are known as being one of the slowest GTs from the factory. A simple HCI swap turned my car into a COMPLETELY different animal. Drive a HCI SN95 vs. a stock one and you'll realize how crappy a stock GT is.

What kind of money does it take for a simple HCI... tuned ride?

My whole project cost me about $5500cnd~, and that's with shipping to canada, duty fees to canada, getting tranny rebuilt and replacing the steering pump/rack, but the top end kit was only like $2600cnd shipped, got it cheap. Realistically, you could EASILY do a HCI for $3000 and have a very fun/fast mustang, I just cleaned things up and "re-did" everything except for the short block lol.
