well i wont be installing the cams/valve springs and retainers until october, so i was thinking of a few smaller projects I could do in the mean time. But first off, are they even worth it?

relocate battery to the trunk?
- Ive always thought about doing this. Is it really worth the money? what kits are popular to go with? other than the kit, is there anything else needed to do the install? considering there will be an empty spot in the upper right hand of the engine bay now, is there anything to put there to replace that?

electric water pump?
- Another thing I have always considered doing. Is this really worth the money/time installing. What are popular kits people go with here?

AC delete?
- Even worth the money deleting the AC? Which kit?

thanks everyone

AC Delete, if you don't ever use it then delete it....saves a few pounds and never needs repair if its not there...also cleans up look under hood some.

Electric Water Pump, you only gain a few HP so not worth the money imo.

Battery relocation is good for 2 reasons.
1st it puts weight over the rear for traction and removes it from front
2nd is it also cleans up look under the hood.

I've been considering the relocation kit also to have room for a big methanol tank.

yeah, i really NEVER use my AC because I have tinted windows all around and in NJ you can't have the fronts tinted so every single time i drive I put them down lol.

If the water pump is really only good for a couple hp maybe it really isn't worth it.

I really do like the idea of a nice relocation kit, whats a popular one people go with? Also, is there anything to put where the battery used to be besides a meth tank?

yeah thats another good point, i mean i have yet to read about that happening to somebody, but the chance is always there. then again running 13psi and over 400rwhp through stock internals and a auto is a risk also lol

Ive also heard that electric waterpumps have a short life span, that kinda blows. If you dont use the AC you could possibly delete it but you lose your heating and defrosting along with it. Ide go with the relocation kit for the meantime, thats one of my next mods after a new radiator and coolant expansion tank. Steeda makes a nice one thats a bit expensive, and jegs and summit both have kits that are a bit less expensive and dont look too bad.

well im also not willing to put my car down for months upon end. I'll build the bottom up if/when it craps out on me. not going to fix something until its broken

yeah im almost 100% set on the battery relocation. But what to put in the gap under the hood, im thinking maybe meth tank and go with a meth setup as well

yeah seriously, the mach swap would not be an upgrade at all, well the crank would be on the standards but other than that, would be just a waste of time/money

the Steeda kit is here:

definately a little pricey.

I can across the UPR products kit here:
http://yhst-37354654005614.stores.yahoo.net/mustang-aluminum-battery-box-kit.html

The UPR kit is $100 cheaper, is it missing anything needed for the install?

UPRs kit uses 2 awg wire.. Should look into this one, have it in my shopping cart at summit... just waiting for the funds haha.
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/TAY-48204/
Has 1 awg positive welding cable and 1 awg neg cable.

does the 2 to 1 difference really matter? Im really not big when it comes to electrical talk, im more of a motor head haha.

But on a side note, I have decided against the water pump and AC delete. Instead, I will definately be doing the battery relocation kit and also most likely going with the Snow Performance stage 2 kit as well. I will mount the meth tank where the battery used to be under the hood.

I picked up 8whp from only a EWP and March dampener.
How many EWPs have you installed and dyno'd? Or are you just regurgitating what everyone else on the internet says?

A battery relocate is significantly more involved if you want to remain NHRA legal. I would suggest an aftermarket balancer and EWP if you have not already done so, for you the larger EWP pulley will really help belt wrap.

Every car I have ever deleted A/C in I have regretted it. It was just one step closer to "rusty heap of shit".

I talked to a few guys over at modularpowerhouse who also encouraged me not to do the ewp or ac delete. for the money, they said it can be better spent elsewhere...
