Smog Pump gone now have a question

So I removed my smog pump and all the other jazz involved with it. I had planned on just running a shorter belt and not used a delete pulley but now I'm not sure if this will work. Do I need to change the direction of my water pumper to run a shorter belt? I have a diagram that I'm using for routing (can be found on here) and it mentioned that the new route needs a counter clockwise pump

Just need a little clarification. Do I need to run the delete pulley?

I changed the way I tensioned mine, I cut the top mount on the bracket off, removed the tensioner, and used a march industries fox threaded tensioner

No. No need for a rev rotation pump.
I ran a shorter belt for a while when my smog pump crapped out.
I managed to reroute the belt and keep everything rotating the same way.

thats what Im looking for. Seeing as its a new water pump getting another isnt an option so elimination pulley it is then so I retain my water pump

6PK2290 is the belt you will need its 90.2 inch, i think that may work, i read it somewhere. anybody know if i pull my smog pump and use the 90.2 belt , then use underdrive pully set , will that change my belt size ?

Im not doing it for gains my pump was seized so instead of buying a new one for no reason. with that pic it doesn't mention anything about a reverse water pump being required

Its not required, if you follow the routing the fact that if the crank spins say, clockwise, then the waterpump will spin counter clockwise whether it is the stock routing or the other shown...

You can also get a delete pulley, all my smog stuff is gone and I use one of those.

You'll be fine with the shorter belt. I've been running one for years with no issues at all
