damn it man!!!!!  Well as you all know i did my top end combo with rockers and everything pedestal mount of course. the car has been running bad and i heard some noises under my left valve cover, so i pop it out and piston #4 exahust rocker arm is just lying around the spring how i don't know anyways so i torque it down in the proper sequence of course and i also replaced the header gaskets and man what a difference it feels like a totally new car super freaking loud out on the tail pipes. well the problem is that my check engine light is still on and for some reason after like 3 or 4 heat cycles that i have put on the car i can now see a lot of smoke from the tail pipes and it doesn't look like oil but more like coolant.... any suggestion what do you guys think it could be? i heated the car on and off for like 4 times and not even driving it just sitting there could it be a gasket.. how can i check if it is a manifold gasket or a head gasket? it wasn't doing this at all before.... thanks in advance.

Ok the problem is that it smokes but i had pulled the valve cover out today to check on the rockers and that when i found out that #4 piston had the rocker loose but the thing is that the oil looked brand new and nofoam as you stated also i changed the oil and it was in new condition and i still changed it, no water. i haven't pulled the plugs out to see which pistons are burning the water. damn man i thought everything was good except for the loose rocker.... if it is the head gasket i'll put studs in that bitch and trust me this time they won't let go. is there any specific way that i can check if it is a head gasket or not? is just that my mac long tubes are a bitch to put on.... any advice from you guys would be great man... thanks 94pro5.0 i'll check on the pvc which is connected by the way...

some people say you can do a compression test, but it didnt work for me.

also, there wouldnt always be water in the oil if your gasket is leaking, it is most likely leaking just into your exhaust.

can you smell antifreeze at all?

today i checked the oil and it is a as clear as water j/k no seriously oil looks perfect and the car yesterday was smoking so much that i thought i was gonna have some hydrolock issues but today i drove it and i don't see a lot of smoke maybe just a tiny bit, also i found out that the passenger side rear of the intake is leaking and it has coolant all over my starter. Anyway could my problems of smoke be coming from the leaking intake gasket I don't it just seeks weird that the head gasket could be gone when botha head gaskets are new i just installed them and they are properly torqued down and everything..... thanks guys thanks 94pro5.0 for your advice...
