theres a difference between smoked and using film other than how it is applied.

smoked headlights have a dark housing. the film does nothing more than tint the lens. the film creates a "tinted headlight" not "smoked"

IMO, tinted headlights look like ass, but thats just me. id rather have clear lenses with smoked/dark reflective housing, like i have with my smoked headlights.

i do believe they are the same. Take in affect the light source. Plays a big part in how the smoked headlights look.

you can sand the dimples off the too. IF you get the tint on them AND there's no wrinkles the water will start working it's way back under . good luck

Haha seriously kid lose the fucking attitude. Your just making yourself look like another one of those kids whose Mommy and Daddy bought them a stang, and they think they are king of the world. Grow up already. There have been numerous people in this thread who know what they are doing. Thorco has done all kinds of work with headlights and KB has done countless headlights and tail lights. Might wanna listen even if you don't get the answer you want. No one is stopping you from being a cheap ass and making your headlights look like some rejected JDM honda part.

As many replies this thread has, you still don't get the point. If you have EVER worked with tint film, you'll quickly realize it doesn't work that great on things as curved as our headlights. Instead of sitting on your computer and attempting to type out snappy, smart ass remarks, why don't you go down to your local autoparts store, or Walmart, and buy some tint film and attempt to put it on your headlights and you will see what everyone in here has said. It won't work. If you want smoked headlights, either buy some from eBay, Blue Oval Industries, UPR, etc etc, or go buy a can of VHT NiteShadez and do it that way. The Niteshadez comes off easily with some paint thinner if you don't like the outcome. Be sure to wetsand and clear over the niteshadez as well.

I HAVE tried to tint my tailights before with film...which DID NOT work, it was all wrinkled and came out like sh!t. The same problems would apply to headlights.

Buy smoked ones...its the obvious choice.
