SN95 Exhaust Tip Ideas

Has anyone done, or seen, the exhaust tips cut into the lower portion of a 94-98 SN95 rear bumper?

I was considering getting some tips of the right size to match to curve of the lower bumper section and then cut the two ends out in the same curve. Does that make sense? What do you guys recon?

I just think the exhaust hanging below the bumper and visible from the sides looks extremly tacky.

I actually really like that look with the Lexus tips, might look into getting that done.


That's also really similar to how the tips look on the Super Stallion.

yea it looks cool from the back but the tips may look strange with the bottom curve of the bumper from the side. Im not saying that i wont do it if everyone else does though! lol

I am still sorely tempted, but unless I can get a tip that flows with the lower inlay shape, I think it will look odd. The Lexus tips (in the other link) seem nice, but don't seem to flow with the lines of the car that well imo.

why did the exhaust go under the axles? was that IRS?

Yes, the Supre Stallion had an IRS and a supercharged 4.6 DOHC and ran on E85

Alright, well those tips on the torch red mustang above, are Lexus LS460 tips...but I can't find any place that sells them.

Yeah, Lexus isn't the only car with that style exhaust tips anymore. The new Mazda 6 and Buick Lacrosse uses tips that look similar.
