sn95 gauges

ok, i know on a new edge car to change the gauge cluster it was to be programed to the computer. but what about a 94-98? i got a GT cluster the other day and i wanna put it in the V6, so can i just roll the mileage forward to meet my mileage and swap the needles(the ones on the GT cluster are faded) bolt it in and go?

I think the gt cluster goes up higher than the v6 one so i dont think it works like that. I could be wrong though

i swaped just the gt speedo and tach into my V6 cluster....seems to be good,only reason itd be slightly off is because i replaced the needles
