I am set on a 94-98 GT, but every once in a while, as in all the time, new edge GTs are in my price range..

I like 94-98 body style 3124124X more than new edge, especially stock. But overall new edges have the edge i guess...

Any input?

input on what? I dont get what your asking..

didnt you make a thread earlier asking which engine choice in the sn95s to go with?
I did.. But what i am asking is new edge better overall to go with than a 94-98, because more and more new edges are coming up in my price range

New edge is the evolution of the SN95, so it's pretty much better in every single respect, as it gets newer hardware. Looks are subjective, but if you can find a clean new edge for not a lot of money, I'd go for that.

Negative. If the new edge GT is in your price range then go for a SN95 Cobra...way sexier.

My price range is up to $5,000. The cobras are slim to none..

I think you answered your own question here:

I saw get a 94-98, but I have one so I like that more. Right now.

I like new edges infinitely more, but it seems there are less Sn95's that a actually nice on the road..

If it were me i'd get a new edge if it were in my price range, but you could get a snive a bit cheaper and put more money into mods...

what will you be using it for?

daily driver or a racer?

i mean, if you plan on casually racing it, new edges are heavier cars, so it would take less work for a 96/98 to go just as fast...

new edges have traction control, more computering to worry about..

im all for older stuff, so i like no new edges.

Yeah =/ I didnt exactly like the 94-98's till i got one, so I am kinda hoping i would with a new edge.. But there are so many on the roads. I think it will come down to best deal i guess

Whenever i see a clean 94-98 around 3.5-4k, i get all happy since my insurance check is 4700

DD, casual racing if i get good enough with my mods.. I know what you mean. If people say the 96/98 are harder to work on i cant imagine a 99-04 lol

I like them but i'm betting the cheaper ones are the 99/00 and I didn't like their body's much... IE Hood, Spoiler etc. I prefer the 03/04 GT's but your probably not gonna find one for 5k.

Keep looking for a 94-5 Cobra, I have seen them in the 5-6k range before and people need money so don't be afraid to low ball!

exactly dude, my mechanic cringes when i bring him my car, but he told me, and i quote.. "i can barely work on yours, dont even think about bringing in a newer one with the same size engine.."

Yeah I think it would be would it if i just kept on the lookout. I saw a white 96 Cobra at the dealership, 39k miles, so clean...i had to stop and take a look under it and everything.. but $16k haha. But what is this rule that a 96-98 cobra>94-95? I know performance is obv better, but there isnt anything WRONG with a 94/5 cobra right?

The 4V Cobra will be worth more and stock is a better car but nothing wrong wth a 94-95 Cobra. I had a 95 and loved it, I am constantly on the lookout for one thats cheap.
