Thats what i'm thinking. Basically I'm looking at, if I pull the motor. New oil pan, new rods, pistons, crank, camshaft, lifters, intake. All alot of money, which I don't have. lol. No worries though I guess

People say take a break from it and come back and your interest will return... I put together a couple things on my car and it didn't work out. The car was taken away the other day, although sad... a huge lift off my shoulders. Just my experience.

Park it for a few days/weeks/months if you can. I hated mine a few years back and looked at the pile of parts I had accumulated and let it sit for 3 years. I finally decided last spring that I was gonna keep it and finish the build and just sank another 3k+ this spring in misc bolts and timing parts etc to get it rolling.

With what I paid and parts/time I have into it I would never get anywhere near what I would want so I am just gonna keep chugging along and hope to get another 15 good years out of it.

me and tony were talking the other night at the track about your luck with the car. honestly what i would do is yank the motor/trans and sell the rest. pick up a fox or another SN and throw the top end on there, or atleast the victors.....

sounds like you'll never be "into" this car since its given you so much grief..... nobody knows whats best for you except you. dont know you at all really, but it seems like getting a termi or something like that would get old for you quick since it seems you ENJOY working on your car, and being in school with a car payment wouldnt give you much extra to play with it doesnt seem.

Steven you talkin about the '70? I thought you just got it running?
I did. It was running but after getting it moving, somethings wrong internally, has a bad vibration. Already swapped balancers. That didn't do anything but make it worse. So the motor has to come back out. And through a combination of things I'm just not happy with the rods I used, the pan, pistons, camshaft, intake etc. Feel like if I pull it back out, why spend the money on parts I'd rather replace.

I don't have the worst luck in the world with that car, but I do know I'm definately not floating along. I wish it went better, but it hasn't. I'll sit on it for a while. Already had a guy offer me a supercharged 88 coupe but eh.

I know how you feel Steven. Ten years and $60,000+ spent on my convertible ended up making me sell it too. I just no longer have the will to work on it.

You had about 3x the money and time I have in mine. Still doesn't make it any harder. I'm looking at buying something to drive first. Then make an ultimate decision. If I did sell it, i'd probably just pay my junk off or buy another toy. Just take a break for now though.

trying to buy an 03 GT 5 speed for my fix for now. Might sell pieces of the drivetrain and start over in the 70. Use the money to fund the 03 and just mess around for a bit.

I've had them. This car will most likely be a wheels, tint, small suspension car. Otherwise I'm just going to ride. 4.6's are even better when stock, that way I can just drive it lol

what mod car have you owned?? besides the overweight 3v car that i wont even speak of......

PI car with bolt ons and gears is a perfect daily driver in my opinion. even better would be all of that with the vortech, a/c, ps, and no B/S breaking daily.......

Irregardless, I have the 70 for smoking fast run downs (when it runs). I'm not a traffic racer. Believe it or not i'm mostly responsible
